Weekly Moments: Slowly Back Into the Rhythm

The first week of the new semester has started, although it still felt partly like a holiday due to the Three Kings. A soft transition before everything fully picks up again next week.

Monday was completely dedicated to university work. A full day on the couch, working on our UCL Open Media Day project so it could be handed in before the deadline.

From Tuesday to Thursday I was in Valencia. Unfortunately, I managed to catch the “Spanish” flu again, so those days were quieter than planned. On Thursday evening I returned to Madrid and had dinner with my parents while watching the Copa del Rey semi-final.

Friday morning started with one last family breakfast at Federal, after which I headed to the Bernabéu for my first class of the new semester. We had a lecture from María Bretones, Head of PR and Communication at the Bernabéu. It was a really interesting class about how the Bernabéu will stand on it’s own apart from the football aspect. There was also a case study based on crisis communication.

Saturday was a typical reset day. Laundry, cleaning the apartment, groceries, and resting before the busy weeks ahead.

Sunday was the perfect way to close the week. A calm day, followed by an evening at Pickwick near Sol for a Secret Santa gift exchange and watching the Copa del Rey final between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
